Douglas K. Christensen biography

Douglas K. (Doug) Christensen is Vice-President of the Book of Mormon Archaeological Forum (BMAF) and serves as it's webmaster. Doug has an MBA from the University of Utah, served a mission in England in 1961 and has served as bishop and high councilor (3 times).

He founded the Alma Success Academy, a school for returned missionaries, in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.  He donated the school to a local general authority who runs it under the Perpetual Education Fund. He has accompanied archaeologists F. Richard Hauck, Bruce Warren, and V. Garth Norman on archaeological field trips to Mesoamerica. Doug has written several Book of Mormon articles which appear on the BMAF website. (www.bmaf.org)

He is a Church Service Missionary at the College of Southern Idaho LDS Institute in Twin Falls, Idaho and has been an Adult Continuing Education instructor of Book of Mormon curriculum. He and his wife Arlene have 8 children and 26 grandchildren
